Cold & Fun

Yes, it's true...Forrest likes to skate. And Dada was acting goofy again, doing something he called his 'Katey pose', not sure what he meant, but he sure looks cool. Having fun as the temperature drops. Can't wait to see the family soon!

We spent today choosing a hearthstone. Dada and me chose the perfect one, lugged it home, then went to work trying to put it in just the right spot. Casey helped too. I think we got a pretty nice one. Casey oiled the deck yesterday & it's pretty spectacular. And mom made me another funny looking scarf that I'll probably make Forrest wear.

That's me sitting on about a million hazelnuts. I was pretending to be a squirrel, thinking squirrel thought, contemplating where to hide all these nuts.

Funny

So Dada's been playing on the roof again. I think he just likes to look down at the house from there & think about how pretty it is. He likes the colors Forrest & I have chosen. We think it's very modern. As you can see, we're not quite done yet. I'm almost finished putting the finishing touches on the last of the white trim. I think the colors look pretty sharp. We've all had a fun few weeks. The neighbors have even started to pain their houses next door the same colors!

We also took our bikes for a spin. Mama is trying to make it our main form of transportation. We'll see how long that lasts after a few rainy days of biking! But it's a lot of fun. Forrest especially likes his new helmet I picked out for him...it matches mine. Forrest loves his little trailer & shouts for joy when we ride down the street.

And as you can see, my brother is up to no good again, but he's still really funny. This week he's obsessed with hard-boiled eggs. He doesn't want to eat them, just see what happens when he smashed different things against them. Watch out!
