Forrest is Healed!

Forrest gets some bodywork after a fall straight onto his nose.

He really likes it and falls asleep after about 15 minutes.

Her most agreeable 2 year old patient ever.

As if Forrest didn't have enough hats. This is the "blueberry".

On a hike to find the perfect rock.

That's me driving a tractor. Forrest is my site manager. And yes, he dressed himself today.

What I've been up to

My back seat driver

Yes, I'm a natural rock climber. This was my first time, I'm about 20 feet up. Then I taught Forrest how to do it. Don't worry, ground was fully padded!

Pumpkins

Forrest really liked sitting on the pumpkins. (If you are wondering about his nose, it is feeling better, not broken after all.)

Dad's Building Again

Our newest kitchen installment....still in the works. It's nice to eat dinner at but me and Forrest can't seem to figure out how to get up and run around during dinner anymore. I also added some shelving for dad. He likes the asian look.

While dad was putting the finishing touches on my handiwork, mom took us to lots of interesting watering holes.

Vancouver Lake

No training wheels! I did it! I didn't even fall! I gave my balance bike to Forrest and he's figuring it all out.

We ended the week with ice cream of course. And yes, Forrest and I are growing our hair out.

We Can Kinda' Live in Our House Again

Me and Forrest took a nice ride on Casey's motorcycle for the first time together. He held on tight to me 'cause he knows I know the roads out here and he's still learning. He insists on riding in his underwear, I can't seem to convince him to put some clothes on. Maybe sometime he'll let us turn it on when mom's not around.

This is the type of transportation mom prefers. We spent most of the last two weeks riding our bike around town. Our new family bike. It's awesome! Mom is getting really strong and I cheer her on as she tries to make it up the big hills. I have my own seat and handle bars. Forrest is a bit envious, he's sick of always riding in the back.

Finally, we're able to at least live in our house again. We packed up our wagon and crossed the street. After 4 days at the neighbors, who conveniently decided to go on a camping trip, we are back in our place again. Of course my dad keeps looking like he might go crazy every time Forrest runs towards the newly oiled and still drying wood floors. But we have floors again and that's a good thing. I got a nasty splinter last week.

So lovely, the floors that is. My dad is almost done and looks quite dapper sitting in his new digs. We have devised all sorts of ways of getting things from the kitchen since we can't walk on the floors for about a week or so.
